Sally French looks at the situation as that although everyone wants to be treated equally, we need to realize that there are disabled people and that these people need certain items in order to make things fair.Many of these needs are a necessity at the work place and employers should recognize and do something about this.

Sally French's tone in this narrative is angry and frustrated. She is angry that many of the needs of the disabled go ignored and frustrated that there is little or no effort to improve these peoples rights and make them equal. Sally is personally visually impaired and she is frustrated because there has been little or no improvement made in order to help her and others like her.

Joseph Shapiro states that a student from a minority group is more likely to be placed in special ed classes because of the language barrier that is present or because of the the fact that their teacher cannot judge the level of their progress if they just imigrated from another country.
4.)How did the ADA and IDEA change how Americans look at the issue of disability?
The ADA changed the way that Americans look at the issue of disability because it shows them that disability is an important issue that needs to be worked on. Because of the ADA, everywhere you will go you will see disabled parking spaces and entrances. The ADA made regulations that help the disabled live normal lives like the rest of us and made American's look at the disabled as people with needs and rights as well. IDEA helps to manage the needs of the disabled under any circumstances. Whether the disabled need special technology or different schedules from regular citizens to get things done, IDEA helps. Both IDEA and the ADA have helped normal citizens realize that the disabled are the same as us in that they deserve fair opportunities and equal rights.
