Bryan's "A Sociolinguistic Interview" was a face to face interview between Bryan and the subject of his interview.The whole interview was audio recorded so that Bryan could extract the information that he needed to write his analysis. In his analysis, Bryan used direct quotes from his interviewee and he used his own words to describe what his subject explained to him.
Samantha's "Student Essay: Oral History Interview" was two "oral histories" or stories that she gathered from her participants. Rather that word for word interview answers, Samantha used the stories that were told to her by her participants and put them into her own words and used them to support her research.
